The Railways Recruitment Board will soon hold the Mains examination for NTPC (non-technical popular category) posts. According to unconfirmed sources, the exams will probably be held inNovember 2016. The official Railways RRB Mains Exam Date is yet to be announced. However, the RRB has announced that just like the Railways RRB Preliminary Exams for NTPC posts, the mains exam will also take place online.

The RRB started the phase – I (preliminary exam) of the examination earlier this year for filling around 18,525 vacancies. At the time of the application, Consequently, the RRB NTPC Exam 2016 (Preliminary) took place in the months of March April and May. All these exams occurred in multiple shifts. Around 60 lakh candidates appeared for the preliminary RRB NTPC exam 2016. A whopping 92 lakh candidates had applied for the Railways RRB 2016 Exam.

Recently, the board released the official RRB NTPC question paper and answer key. It also released a grievance or objection tracker, which is now closed. In the notification that accompanied this release, RRB mentioned the new exam – a second phase – a Mains exam. The candidates who managed to score past the cut off decided by the RRB for the first phase of the exam, are now eligible to appear in the RRB Mains Exam 2016.

The Railway recruitment board has also informed the candidates that there will be tough competition for the seats to the exam. By announcing that almost 15 candidates will be competing to fill each of the vacancy, the RRB has hinted you to study harder for the upcoming main exam. Remember that there are 18,252 vacancies in total.
