Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently conducted the Exam of SSC CGL 2016 Tier I and there are many doubts/queries coming in the mind of aspiring candidates. FAQs Related to SSC CGL 2016 Tier II Exam

Q 1. What  is the syllabus of SSC CGL Tier 2?

Answer:

  • Paper 1: Quantitative Abilities
  • Paper 2:English Language & Comprehension
  • Paper 3:Statistics
  • Paper 4:General Studies (Finance and Economics)

Q2 :  Is it mandatory to appear for Paper 3 and Paper 4 in SSC CGL Exam in Tier -2, if I have applied for them?

Answer: No, It is optional.

Q 3: Level of Questions in Tier 2 Vs Tier 1

Answer: The level of questions asked in this Tier 2 is different from that in Tier 1. The preparation level for Tier 2 is higher, as the level of difficulty and pattern is completely different.

Q 4: What should be the correct strategy to prepare for Tier – II?

Answer. You can follow two simple steps for any type of preparation.

  1. Make a timetable or strategy.
  2. Follow the time table you made in point 1.

Moreover, it would be best if you attempt quality Tier – II mock test papers once a week (we will be providing mock tests shortly), it would give you a clear picture where you are standing and what are your strong points and what are points you need to work upon before you are going to face the real music in the Tier – II exam.

Q 5: What should be given more focus in Tier – II, English or Maths?

Answer: Although, both carries equal marks, but make sure you have greater scope to do magic in Maths than doing the same in English. English score lies between 130-170 for a good candidate while math’s score has a broader range from 120-190. Maths can give you better output at this moment, so while making the timetable, it would be better to concentrate on Maths more to get high scores.

  • Maths- For this tier, the key topics would be Geometry, algebra, trigonometry, date interpretation and percentage. Around 60 to 70 %questions are asked from these topics.
  • English- Around 40- 50 % of question are grammar based. So, if you are good with the language you won’t face too many hurdles in attempting this paper.

Q 6: Do I need to join any coaching center for preparation of SSC CGL Exam?

Answer: If you are able to grab the things of your own,then Self Study is Sufficient. Otherwise, you can join for the subjects you are weak in.

Q 7: Do I need to join any online Test Series for a preparation of SSC CGL Exam?

Answer: Yes, Online Practice is a must. We are  going to  provide Test Series Soon.

Q 8:  When is Tier 2 going to happen? 

Answer:  SSC Tier-II is going to get in Last week of November. Since there is no official update regarding the same from SSC .

Q 9: Does SSC CGL exam have sectional cutoffs like in IBPS and RBI exams?
Ans. There is no Sectional cut Offs.

Q 10: Is it a need to apply again for tier-II/second stage of SSC CGL/ another exam

Ans: No, you need not to apply a fresh for tier-II/second stage of an exam.
