SSC CGL 2016 Tier 1 Expected Cutoff

​The Tier I exam of SSC CGL 2016 has finally begun from the 27th of August, 2016 after long delays and postponements. We hope that those of you who have already appeared for the exam have put your best and those of you who are still to appear for it are well prepared for it.

The Staff Selection Committee hadnotified in its revised SSC CGL 2016 Exam Pattern Notification that the exam will be conducted in three tiers. The third paper – a written descriptive test was introduced from this year. And Tier IV Skills Test remains intact as a qualifying test for certain posts. To know how you performed, you need to know the Official & Expected Cut Off for the exam.

Those who secure the Cut Off for SSC CGL 2016 Tier I exam will be called for SSC CGL 2016 Tier II exam. Those who clear the Cut Off for SSC CGL 2016 Tier II exam will be called to appear for the SSC CGL Tier III exam. The final cut off for SSC CGL 2016 will be decided on the basis of the cumulative marks obtained in all the three tiers. Here we have estimated the expected cut off for SSC CGL 2016.

Note that it is expected that the cutoff for SSC CGL 2016 will be higher owing to various reasons:
Last year SSC conducted the exam only in two tiers. Interviews were conducted for some posts. This time the exams are to be conducted in three tiers without any interviews.In 2015, 200 questions were asked in the paper, each carrying 1 mark. However, this time 100 questions have been asked in the Tier 1 exam, each of which carries 2 marks.
